'Recreation II' is the second of two sessions that were grown from reprocessing 'Creation' with a granular resampling system. It seeks nothing more than to offer another vantage point of different perspective on a prior composition, and in doing so provides a sufficient "proof of concept" for the synthesis at the heart of this series, finding new shapes, tones and temperatures inside older recordings that can be continually revisited through the lens of new equipment and software tools. Positioned here, at the end of the '23 year, just over a year after 'Creation' was released, I find it an apt point of consideration and a warm piece of synthesizer music to curl up with at night. I hope you do too.
