'Synchysis' is a reprocessing of 'Chiasmus' and can be considered an alternative universe iteration of that piece. Sections of 'Chiasmus' were altered via time-domain pitch shifting, parametric equalization and other directional/textural changes, before being routed through a specifically designed patch within Goldwave's Frequency Blend processor and pulled apart further by a fast Fourier transform. The resultant audio resembles certain aspects of 'Chiasmus' but is an entirely new piece of music, much quieter, more spacious, pillow-like and relaxing. As the snow drifts scatter all through the air in the furious wind outside the studio, 'Synchysis' feels apt for a counterpoint.
