'Opening a Mirrored Diamond' is a new work composed by way of composting a different recording - in this case, 'April's Blissed Communion' from the ongoing Sleepbuilding broadcast catalog - and using a procedural path to transfigure and explore different forms, colors and temperatures. Built out of multiple passes of granular re-synthesis, 'Mirrored Diamond' is the inverse Autumnal sister of 'Blissed Communion' - a monument in its equivalent location in the Southern hemisphere, perhaps - and offers a different perspective on the material that feels distantly familiar, but never quite.
