"A Divination at the Speechless Wall" is the third experimental session to explore the singular three aspects of "A Topography of Will." It focuses on wavetable synthesizers, namely Synthesis Technology's E352 Cloud Terrarium and Waldorf's NW1, and reprocesses multiple iterations of these sounds through granular resampling and pitch shifting. Coaxing very formant/vocal overtones out of these machines is a constant fascination, and arguably a major reason for using them (especially the Waldorf machine, which makes prodigious use of text-to-speech synthesis), and here this particular facet of wavetable music is the primary color in the composition.
