A DISTANT TIME was generated half-asleep while lying in bed, using two free Android apps on a Samsung cellphone (an FM synthesizer and a pitch processor). It was only minimally processed later on with a DAW for equalization and a small amount of supplemental reverberation. What the original impetus was for creating this music is now lost, and what remains is a beautiful almost 4-hour long piece of cozy blanket ambience. Even the title phrase was subconsciously claimed and hastily typed out in the final moments before sleep, making this a penultimate example of bedroom music in every sense of that term.
